Thank you to the blog Balkan File for posting this bit about CNN “The Most Trusted Name in News” and its complete inability to report a story without adding a bit of flare, so to speak… If you remember on May 14th of this year, we reported CNN was faking the transcripts of an interview with a Florida fire official. Well, this time they have decided to inject video footage from the Hungarian riots over a year ago, right in the middle of their coverage of the pro-Karadzic Belgrade riots. Again, thanks to Adam at Balkan File for pointing this out and again, shame on CNN!
From the Balkan File:
“If you have ever visited Belgrade, you should be able to spot some rather unfamiliar things in that video. CNN has mixed in footage of riots that took place in Budapest, Hungary, with that of the riots in Belgrade. “Surely, this is a simple mistake by the editing team,” I hear you cry. Well, someone must have been pretty incompetent to mix in footage from over one year ago!”
